Pho 79 is a Vietnamese Restaurant located next to Glasgow Central Station. The restaurant specialises in serving dishes from three regions of Vietnam.

1 . Pho Dishes
Pho is an important Vietnamese signature dish, consisting of rice noodle soup in a flavorful broth filled with meat or vegan alternative and a variety of greens, this can be seasoned to your personal taste with accompanying chilli and hoisin sauce. A basic bowl of pho consists of beef or chicken, topped with bean sprouts, onion, spring onion ,lemon and fresh herbs like basil, mint, and coriander.

2 .Vietnamese Sandwich
Famous alongside Pho, the Vietnamese sandwich, called Banh Mi, has attracted a growing number of fans around the world. The uniqueness of banh mi is not only in the light and crispy baquette loaf, but also in the variety of flavour in the Vietnamese filling that gives it a great taste. Most variety of meat fillings, including roast pork, roast beef, and chicken. With its reputation, Banh Mi is considered the ego of Vietnamese cuisine. This is a must-try dish that even picky eaters can’t resist.

3. Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue
Although, Bun Bo Hue can be easily found anywhere in Vietnam. However, only at Pho 79 can you feel its unique flavour The main ingredients of a bowl of Hue beef noodle soup include: vermicelli, beef, pork in addition to pork rolls. The broth of Hue beef noodle soup is reddish-brown in color, this is a combination of typical spices, lemongrass and shrimp paste.
Served with Hue beef noodle soup are raw vegetables and satay. Satay is an indispensable ingredient, helping to make beef noodle soup more spicy and fragrant.

4. Vietnamese Char Grill Pork & Fish Noodles Soup.
When it comes to delicious food, everyone remembers fish noodle soup. This dish is famous in Hanoi. Fish Noodles Soup is made from a variety of ingredients including vermicelli, dipping sauce, salted vegetables and fresh vegetables. Cha is made from grilled pork, flavoured with fish sauce diluted with sugar, lemon juice, vinegar, stock, crushed garlic and chilli.  Bun cha is served on a plate of vermicelli, a bowl of broth with grilled pork accompanied by fresh vegetables.

5. Banh Cuon Dishes
Banh cuon is a great dish. It is a combination of ground meat, finely chopped wood ear, onions, spring rolls, wrapped in a sheet of steamed rice flour, the overall flavour of this dish is surprisingly not too strong despite the bold ingredients. To add more flavour, you can dip the rolls in fish sauce. Whether the banh cuon is steamed in the traditional way a flavorful roll cake whether small or large, with or without a variety of fillings, banh cuon is an enduring favourite in Vietnam . Banh cuon is a dish containing all the culture and culinary spirit of many different regions of the country

6.Vietnamese Beef Noodle Salad
Nam Bo beef noodle salad is an interesting combination of sweet and sour fish sauce, along with tender fried beef, fresh raw vegetables, fragrant fried onions, the cool taste of bean sprouts and the flavor of crispy roasted peanuts. In which, herbs and bean sprouts are two indispensable ingredients. Sweet, crunchy and characteristic aroma.
The beef used in the vermicelli is well seasoned with sugar, fish sauce, pepper and many other spices. Beef after stir-frying must be soft, not chewy, naturally sweet and fragrant without being greasy. The most important ingredient that creates the soul of Nam Bo vermicelli is the water that is poured into the bowl of vermicelli. The ingredients for the dipping sauce, Fish sauce mixed with lemon, sugar, and vinegar.

Pho 79 restaurant has 82 different dishes to explore the range of Vietnamese cuisine. Vietnamese food offers fresh vibrant flavours and combinations that you will enjoy.

Vietnamese cuisine is a colorful picture, highlighting the unique identity of each ethnic group and region, but they still carry the same Vietnamese identity and soul. The national flavor cannot be erased.
